Pune city to generate 10MW through waste-to-energy conversion

Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) will soon graduate into generating 10MW power from its current capacity of 3MW generated through Rochem Green waste-to-energy plant.

At present, the facility which processes 300 tonnes of waste will go up to processing 700 tonnes. Apart from the Rochem Green plant, 15 other biogas installations are now being build in the city to process a total 75 tonnes per day.
