Sanitation strategies

If the Urban Development Ministry had its way, cities across the country would have detailed sanitation strategies ready in the next two years. The Ministry with funds to the tune of 50,000 would help the cities implement their strategies through the public-private partnership (PPP) route. The dictum is part of the national urban sanitation policy which targets open defecation-free cities and advocates community planned and managed toilets wherever possible and solutions for disposal to enable recycling of waste.
