STP at Kochi

In order to strengthen the sewerage system of the city, the Kochi Corporation is planning to set up a new sewerage treatment plant at Brahmapuram. The new plant would solve the issue of unscientific disposal of septic waste which causes serious health and environmental hazards. The new plant will treat sewage of various divisions under the corporation as well as from the neighbouring municipalities and panchayats. A feasibility study would be conducted after discussing the plan in the council.
