Study on Personal Hygiene

The new global study on cleanliness reveals only 54% of Canadians wash their hands five times a day. In the study conducted by Global Hygiene Council among 12 countries and 12,000 people, Canada ranked fourth behind Brazil, Germany and France in personal hygiene. Poor hand-washing is one of the major reason why Canada has been witnessing influenza and epidemic like SARS outbreak in the recent times. The hygiene council members comprised of expert in hygiene and hygiene-related fields including microbiology, virology and infectious disease.
