Surat roads to sparkle again

‘Night Cleaning and Brushing’ (NCB) of urban roads of this city, stopped for some time, is going to be resumed soon. Budgetary allocation of 1.75 crore has been made for this purpose in the current fiscal years by the Surat Municipal Corporation (SMC).

According to the SMC sources, currently the civic body is spending Rs4 crore annually for city’s road cleanliness operations alone and is going to invite tenders for the resumption of NCB. The SMC had been able to get the tag of zero-garbage roads earlier and it is again to be achieved.
