In one of the earlier issues CIJ had reported about Siruthuli, the NGO in Coimbatore that has been doing a great job of cleaning up the water bodies in the region, as well as greening up the area. The organisation recently conducted a three-day festival to spread awareness about cleaning up water bodies and garbage and the importance of composting, planting of trees, etc. Surya Rekha, a Siruthuli member reports.
