Newly formed, Tata-SIA Airlines Ltd, a JV between Tata Sons Ltd and Singapore Airlines Ltd, will be for outsourcing FS to Air India Engineering Services. While Tata-SIA has already got a MRO (Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul facility) in Singapore, it has tied up with Air India to outsource part of its facility services such as ground-handling and engineering checks. The company’s aircraft is expected to take off in October.
