Technoclean announces “Clean a Window” winner

Technoclean (India) Pvt Ltd has announced Administration and Support Services Jitendra Malekar, Sir H. N. Hospital & Research Centre as the winner of its ‘Clean a Window – Win an iPad2’ competition held at the Technoclean booth during the Integrated Facility Management Seminar and Expo (Nov 10-12, 2011) organised by Virtual Info Systems Pvt Ltd, publishers of Clean India Journal. Malekar was chosen as the Best amongst the 200 participants at the competition. Speaking about the competition, Suhag Khemlani, Deputy MD, Technoclean (India) Pvt Ltd said, “The objective of the competition was to gauge how amateurs would go about while cleaning a window and also to show that there are processes and techniques in window cleaning. Surprisingly, not many people know that window cleaning is an art and that it follows a process. The winner did not use the right technique, yet he seemed to have the right hand movements and the right approach to cleaning a window. ”

An ecstatic Jitendra Malekar said “I have been very particular about cleaning, especially, glass cleaning. In cases where glass is fixed on a window of a façade, proper cleaning ensures that the sealants and gasket sealing the glass to the window are maintained and last longer. Where proper cleaning is not done, the sealant tends to dry and break away and results in water leaking into rooms, especially during the rains. For glass walls on facades, proper cleaning is even more important because the external appearance of a building speaks highly of the establishment inside.”
