Ongoing staff training has always been a critical component of the HAI prevention strategy. User-responsive online training modules along with asynchronous classes has improved the participation of staff and provides opportunities for Infection control professionals to reach out to busy clinical staff.

Involvement of Infection control champions in the training of the staff. Use of technology and integration of Artificial Intelligence in training and surveillance is another area which is getting adopted in healthcare institutions.
