Thermax ties up with GE and Wehrle

Pune based Thermax Ltd. has signed two separate agreements with GE Water of USA and Wehrle Umwelt Gmbh of Germany for sourcing advanced technologies for wastewater treatment.

Under the first agreement, GE’s ultrafiltration and membrane bioreactor (MBR) technology will be used by Thermax for wastewater treatment in commercial and institutional sectors. The agreement with Wehrle is for sourcing technology for treatment of hard-to-treat industrial effluents that are highly loaded in terms of biological and chemical oxygen demand (BOD and COD) in water bodies. The technology would serve pharmaceutical and bulk drug manufacturers, dyes and pigments, pulp & paper and distilleries.
