UP to cooperate in clean Ganga project

Government of Uttar Pradesh will cooperate with the Centre to clean Ganga river, Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav said in a statement. CM said that state government will give all possible support in Ganga surface cleaning project, which will begin in January 2016. UP is among the five states along with Bihar, West Bengal, Jharkhand and Uttarakhand, from where Ganga River passes through. Centre has plans to start entry-level activities in four stages including surface cleaning, bank development, sewage water recycling, and develop crematoria across 3000 villages on the river bank.
