The Mumbai Metropolitan Road Development Authority (MMRDA) is planning to bring from the US the know-how for managing solid waste disposal sites. It is finalising a plan for building modern waste disposal plants in the state and also providing training for the concerned managers to tackle the problem in a more scientific manner. MMRDA intends to tie up with an educational institution to train specialists in the field.
