Administration Department of Uttarakhand Secretariat, Dehradun, is planning to outsource dry cleaning of curtains/towels/bed sheets to a competent laundry agency for a period of one year. The job was earlier outsourced to Niranjanpur Mandi based Om Drycleaner.
O P Pandey, Management Officer, Uttarakhand Secretariat told Clean India Journal, “The job is being outsourced every year to a specific laundry company that qualify our requirement. The outsourced agency uses mechanised cleaning methods in laundry. This time we are looking for Dehradun based local agency to cater to the requirement of dry cleaning on a weekly basis. The quantity varies depending on the requirement, as the job caters to the offices of Ministers and Bureaucrats of Legislative Assembly & Secretariat.” The job generally would entail a cost of around र 200,000. As per the contract, dry cleaning of curtains has to be done every three months and cleaning of towels after every seven days.
