R Varun Karthikeyan, a second generation business head, has taken over as the Managing Director of Roots Multiclean Ltd. With strong domain expertise in manufacturing and marketing, besides proven administrative skills, Varun has been training under his father, K Ramasamy, Chairman, Roots Group of companies for several years now.Taking over the reins from Ruediger Schroeder who has been the President & CEO of Roots for the last two years, Varun told Clean India Journal, “Schroeder led the transformation of Roots Multiclean Ltd into a dominant player in the Indian market, through strategic initiatives, product innovation & development and formidable experience.”
For the last two years, Varun was heading RMCL as Director-Operations before taking over the reins from Schroeder. A graduate in Mechanical engineering and business administration, Varun brings with him the dual advantage of understanding the corporate legacy of the group and skills to operate and steer the company in a new direction.
“With a clear roadmap for the future, and with an able and skilled team, Roots is geared to raise the bar in industrial and domestic cleaning solutions,” he said.
