Waste-free City

After carrying out an intensive drive for efficient garbage disposal, Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) is now working on a project for a waste-free city. The project supported by the United Nations Centre for Regional Development (UNCRD) will also analyse the process of making garbage management a people’s affair by involving private sector, research institutions, the UN and donor organisations. The focus will be on creating a system that involves sustainable waste management.
