Waste management

Clean City Movement initiated by the Indian Medical Association and Confederation of Real Estate Developers Associations of India (CREDAI) will set up a joint venture to manage biomedical waste in Kochi. The joint venture project will involve schemes for managing biomedical waste from residential complexes. Currently there is no system in place to handle this menace and improper disposal could lead to spread of diseases. It will also generate employment for the locals.
