Water Conservation

As part of its water conservation plans, the BMC will make it compulsory to install dual flush and automatic sensor toilet systems in new construction projects. The use of dual flush toilets, as opposed to a conventional one, can reduce water consumption in city’s toilets by up to 67%, officials said. The system allows flushing with less water for liquid loads and more water for those that might need a little extra push.
