Water testing Plant

The Mangalore City Corporation has set up a drinking water testing unit in its laboratory at Lalbagh to ensure better public health. The multi-purpose health workers of the laboratory will collect water samples from open wells or bore wells of houses or other establishments to check for any possible contamination. People can also get the piped water supplied to them, tested. If a contamination is found, steps will be taken to chlorinate the source like tanks or bore wells; in case of piped water, the engineering department will look out for any possible leaks and repair the same.
