Well water for toilets

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation has begun work on rejuvenation of old wells in its eastern suburbs to meet the demands of the local water shortage. The water from the wells could be used for non-drinking purposes like gardening, washing clothes and for toilets. Of the 156 wells the civic body are working on 33 wells on a priority basis. So far, 18 wells have been cleaned.
