West Central Railway outsources mechanised cleaning job

West Central Railway is planning to outsource, cleaning, housekeeping and waste management of New Katni Junction diesel shed premises. The job would clean areas including office complex, training school, laboratory, Railway buildings of diesel loco shed on a daily basis. G S Chakravarty, Senior Section Engineer (Planning) told CIJ, “We have been outsourcing the job of mechanised cleaning for the past three years to competent agencies through open tendering.” The job will be completed within a period of two years and will involve mechanized upkeep of shed floor, pits and urinals, de-silting of manholes, underground drains, open drains and disposal of industrial waste.
