The SMS service recently launched by the Pune Municipal Corporation to allow citizens to report uncollected trash to the authorities and have it collected within eight hours has not met with much success. There have been many instances where despite the information given by the citizens, the garbage piles are not getting cleaned even after three days. The people also claim that after sending an SMS, they are given a compliant number and an official contacts them to know the details of the complaint But there is no follow-up on the said complaint.
