Asia’s biggest sewage plant

Asia’s biggest sewage treatment plant was recently inaugurated on the banks of the river Musi in Andhra Pradesh. Set up at a cost of 93.51 crore, the plant will treat 339 million litres of water per day before discharging it into the river. The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has plans to set up two more sewage plants at Nagole and Nallacheruvu.
