Cleaning Ganga

Hundreds of cadets of the National Cadet Corps (NCC) gathered at Buxar ghat recently to clean the Ganga river; with an aim to create awareness about preserving the holy river. The national campaign, ‘Ganga Swachhta Ahiyan’ (Save Ganga Mission), was conducted during September in Allahabad, Kanpur, Varanasi, Chapra, Patna and Munger by NCC cadets. Throughout the ‘abhiyan’, several street shows, rallies and lectures on the treatment of sewage, use of toilets, management of garbage and industrial waste were organised.
