Cooking gas from domestic waste

The Lucknow Municipal Corporation (LMC) will utilise domestic garbage and carcass of animals for producing cooking gas, which would be distributed to industries and households. The task has been assigned to a city-based NGO that has been generating gas from flowers and other domestic waste after they are buried underground. According to the LMC, gas extraction from waste will help reduce the emission of green house gas and produce non-conventional energy.
