CREDAI speeds up clean city movement in Kochi

The Confederation of Real Estate Developers’ Associations of India (CREDAI) has launched a Clean City Movement (CCM) in Kochi by establishing composting facilities to recycle/process the aerobic microbes and anaerobic matters of housing colonies.

After covering 166 building complexes in the corporation area of Kochi, the CREDAI aims to net 122 more buildings very soon under its ecology friendly garbage management system envisaged in the CCM project. It is currently treating and recycling the organic refuge of the housing colonies.

Meanwhile, the Kochi Municipal Corporation (KMC) had decided to take help from the CREDAI to add final shape to its ambitious Zero Waste Project in western part of the city covering the hospitality industry, housing colonies and restaurants as it has not introduced any system to collect waste from the restaurants, eateries, road-side food kiosks and hotels. The hotels and eateries simply discard their wastes in the open fields/road sides polluting the ground water and air.
