The Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services is going to install MicrosafeCare technology in all its ambulances to protect paramedics from communicable and infectious diseases on board.
MicrosafeCare, an aerosol disinfection system, can kill viruses infecting the respiratory-tracts and sterilize hard surfaces, including those of the ambulances. According to the DCAS officials, the system will be used in 170 ambulances and mobile clinics of Dubai and will apply to 1,100 personnel at DCAS who deal with patients, including 700 paramedics, 350 drivers and 50 emergency medical technicians.
