Gigantic trash pile

The tsunami that devastated Japan in March 2011 has left behind a huge problem to deal with. About five million tonnes of debris consisting of shattered buildings and cars is swooped in the ocean with some 1.5 million tonnes of it still floating in the ocean. This gigantic thrash pile is 3,200 times the amount of rubbish that Japan discharges annually into the Pacific.
