Housekeeping Club at IHM-B

Students of Institute of Hotel Management Catering Technology and Applied Nutrition, Bangalore have recently founded a housekeeping club, a platform for interaction between present housekeeping professionals and the future ones.

With the motto “spread awareness about the limitless nature of this department”, the club aims to raise the awareness level about cleaning & hygiene that is still minimal. Having to educate the emerging trends, the students of IHM-B have named the club – “Gharaunda”, a Hindi word for household which relates perfectly with the essence of housekeeping. It is the housekeeping department which takes care of all the major guest needs and walks the extra mile to reach for complete guest satisfaction.

The club will conduct activities on a regular basis involving not only the institute staff and students but also the community as a whole.
