Kalpataru now at Tirumala & CWG

Mumbai based Kalpataru Hospitality & Facility Management Services (P) Ltd has been recently awarded a two year Facility Management contract for the main guest houses at Tirupathi Tirumala Devasthanam. The company will cover areas like the guest houses at Sannidhanm, Astha Vinayam, Kousthubam & Panchjanyam in Tirumala and Srinivasam, Padmavathi guest house & SV guest houses in Tirupati. “We will be deploying around 600 staff who will be involved in Integrated Facility Management Services. These will include housekeeping, bed making, laundry services, electric work, plumbing, carpentry, lift attending and fumigation,” says R M Hegde, Managing Director of Kalpataru Hospitality. “We will be using cleaning machines and equipment like auto scrubbers, single disc scrubbers, wet and dry vacuum cleaner, fogging machine and jet pressure machine from Eureka Forbes to maintain the guest houses.”

Kalpataru has also been awarded with the housekeeping services by the Governing Council of the Commonwealth Games, Delhi 2010, for the period of two months starting from August. Hegde says, “We will be managing the residential zone III and IV with the help of 300 staff, including the Project Manager, Asst Project Manager, Zonal Managers, and Supervisors. This residential zone consists of 34 towers and 8016 rooms. It will be occupied by the international athletes, team officials and the coaches during the event.” The company will be using equipment and chemicals from Diversey India Pvt Ltd for maintaining the residential zones of the CWG 2010.
