Low cost Toilets

The Kheda District Co-operative Milk Producers’ Union Limited (Amul Dairy) has launched a novel scheme for rural sanitation. The dairy will provide interest free loans to its milk producers in Anand and Kheda districts to set up permanent toilet blocks. To start with, the target is for setting up 5000 low-cost toilet blocks this year. The company would encourage hygienic practices in the milk supply chain.
