Remembering Sheila Dikshit

As the nation bids adieu to Sheila Dikshit, one of the longest-serving chief ministers of Delhi, who passed away on July 21, Clean India Journal recalls some special moments she spent in our midst.

The Clean India Show 2010, inaugurated by Sheila Dikshit at Delhi, witnessed the ‘Smiling Iron Lady’ moving from stall to stall at the exhibition, understanding the various cleaning technologies and products to keep cities and everything within clean. Sheila Dikshit, who had planned a 15-minute visit to the show, ended up spending over three hours understanding the cleaning solutions. The entire cleaning industry at the exhibition were overwhelmed with her enthusiasm and knowledge base about cleaning products & processes. She went on to call all related government officials in her department to attend the Show for the next two days and report on the changes that could be implemented in the city.

The entire team of Virtual Info Systems Pvt. Ltd extends its condolences to her family and the nation at large.
