Sanitation campaign

The Indian Railways is going to undertake a major cleanliness campaign across 100 stations which have more than 10 lakh population or are destinations of tourist or religious importance. The campaign will cover all the zonal Railways. Bio-toilets will be installed in maximum railway coaches. The Railway Minister has reiterated the importance of clean and hygienic conditions in kitchens where the food is prepared. There will also be a team comprising officers from the Railway Board that will go around the country to inspect the cleanliness and hygiene levels.
