The Andhra Pradesh government has chalked out plans to construct 10 lakhs toilets per year at the cost of र10,000 per toilet. The State has done well in implementing the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme by providing jobs to nearly 97.5 lakh people by implementing hygiene and sanitation programmes.
