Water pollution?

In the backdrop of 500 people taking ill due to water contamination in and around Bholakpur in Hyderabad, concerned citizens have protested against the functioning of animal skin and hides trade in the area where over 90% of the locals eke out livelihood by trading in animal skin and hides. The traders collect the hides in bulk from slaughter houses in the abattoir complex at Chengicherla and other places, wash with salt and sell them to industrial units in Chennai. The hides can add to water pollution along with rusted water pipelines and sewer lines. Is Hyderabad Municipal Corporation taking any action?
