Tesla’s BlackHOLE to eat waste in Ladakh

Ladakh is obtaining a ‘BlackHOLE’ to swallow mountains of trash rising in step with a surge in tourist arrivals. The spike in traveller flow, largely focused between the June-August high season, is generating 15-16 tonne of trash daily. The innovative waste disposal technology from the Tesla stable will form the backbone over the adverse impact on Ladakh’s crumbly ecology.

BlackHOLE appears to be a handy solution as it works without electricity or fuel to decompose waste, except glass, into ash. Orders have been placed with Bengaluru-based Tesla Energy (an arm of US-based Tesla Green) for a plant with a daily capacity of one tonne and expect it in 2-3 months.
