Attero, Recykal on e-waste recycling

On the occasion of World Recycle Day which fell on March 18, industry leaders re-affirmed their commitment to sustainability through recycling of waste. Nitin Gupta, Co-founder and CEO, of Attero, spoke about the need for proper disposal of e-waste, particularly lithium batteries. His company was exploring ways to extract rare minerals and metals from e-waste with over 98% efficiency. Initiatives like the Digital DRS behavioural change program had diverted over 1.5 million plastic bottles from sensitive areas like Kedarnath. The Company’s ‘Samudra Manthan’ project reclaimed over 70,000 metric tons of ocean-bound plastic waste, contributing to environmental preservation and resource conservation.
