Twisted-in-wire brushes: loop-end, closed-end or cut-end.
SIGMA is a twisting machine for producing loop-end, closed-end and cut-end twisted-in-wire brushes. It consists of a clamping unit that twists the stem wire, a hook unit or optional second clamping unit that holds the wire under tension, and a trimming unit that finishes the fibres. SIGMA is combined with the PSI Filament Setter, which prepares tufts of fibre for manual insertion between the two stem wires, and works with synthetic, natural and metallic fibres on metal or plasticised wire.
Produces loop-end, closed-end and cut-end brushes on one machine by changing the hook or clamping configuration.
Fibres are trimmed to the required diameter immediately after twisting, giving a finished brush without a second machine.
Prepares even, measured tufts of fibre so the operator can lay them quickly and consistently between the stem wires.
The PSI Filament Setter prepares a uniform layer of fibre. The operator folds the stem wire into a U, lays the prepared fibre between the two legs and clamps the wire ends in the SIGMA clamping unit while the hook unit holds the loop under tension. The clamping unit rotates, twisting the two wires together and locking every fibre in a spiral. Finally the trimming unit cuts the fibres to the required diameter, producing a loop-end, closed-end or cut-end brush.
Runs PP, PET, nylon and abrasive filaments, natural fibres and metal wire fill for industrial cleaning brushes.
Brushes up to 600 mm long and 30 to 200 mm in diameter on wire from 0.7 to 4.0 mm.
Only 0.2 kW and 40 normal litres per minute of air make SIGMA economical to run in any workshop.

Foot-pedal filling of pre-drilled blocks for flat, cylindrical and disc brushes at low investment.
SIGMA makes loop-end, closed-end and cut-end (open) twisted-in-wire brushes. Typical products are bottle brushes, tube and pipe cleaning brushes, industrial brushes, twist brushes with metal wire fill and twist brushes with natural fibre, supplied with or without a ring.
The PSI prepares even, measured tufts of fibre that the operator lays between the two stem wires before twisting. It is not strictly mandatory, but without it fibre setting is slower and less uniform, so SIGMA is usually supplied together with the PSI as a set.
SIGMA twists metal stem wire and plasticised wire from 0.7 mm to 4.0 mm diameter. Fill material can be synthetic filament such as PP, PET, nylon or abrasive, natural fibres such as coco or tampico, or metallic fibre for heavy-duty industrial brushes.
Brush length can reach 600 mm and diameter ranges from 30 mm to 200 mm. After twisting, the integrated trimming unit cuts the fibre to the set diameter, so the brush leaves the machine finished and ready for handle or ring fitting.
The set is very economical: about 0.2 kW of power and 40 normal litres per minute of compressed air. SIGMA measures 1500 by 800 mm with a height of 2100 mm and weighs 250 kg, so it fits comfortably in a small industrial workshop.

The little giant for industrial and technical brush production.
THETA Manual is a vertical tufting machine with one filling tool for producing brushes from pre-drilled blocks. The operator positions the block in the filling area using a mechanical pointer that locates each tuft hole, then fills it with a foot pedal. The brush holder is a simple plate for flat brushes, with complementary equipment for cylindrical and disc brushes. Weighing 150 kg and drawing 0.2 kW, it gives industrial and technical brush makers precise tufting at a small investment.
A pointer guides the operator to each pre-drilled hole so the filling tool lands exactly where the design requires.
Both hands stay free to position the block while the pedal triggers each tuft, keeping the work rhythm steady.
A simple plate handles flat brushes; complementary fixtures allow cylindrical and disc brushes on the same machine.
THETA Manual works with blocks that have already been drilled, so the machine concentrates on one task: filling. The operator slides the block under the mechanical pointer until it sits over the next hole and presses the foot pedal. The filling tool then cuts a measured bunch of filament from the fibre box, folds it around a staple and drives it into the hole in a single 85 mm stroke. Changing the holder for cylinder or disc brushes takes minutes.
At 150 kg and 0.2 kW, THETA lets small workshops tuft professional brushes without a CNC investment.
Fibre lengths from 40 mm to 300 mm and filling tools up to 7.5 mm suit coarse industrial brushes.
Few moving parts and no drilling head mean minimal maintenance and quick spare replacement by your own staff.

Twists, tensions and trims loop-end, closed-end and cut-end brushes with PSI-prepared fiber tufts.
THETA is aimed at industrial and technical brushes such as lag and table brushes, cylinder brushes and disc brushes, where volumes are moderate and blocks are pre-drilled. It is also a practical choice for special or sample brushes that do not justify programming a CNC machine.
THETA has no drilling unit; it fills blocks that are already drilled. Blocks can be moulded with holes, drilled on a separate drilling machine, or drilled on a STAR GAMMA or STAR DELTA, which makes THETA a useful second filling station in a growing plant.
The machine fills about 50 tufts per minute. Because positioning is done by hand with the mechanical pointer, real output depends on operator skill, the number of holes per brush and fibre length. Operators typically reach steady speed within the first week.
Power consumption is only about 0.2 kW. Compressed air is required at roughly 350 normal litres per minute and 6 bar for the filling stroke. The footprint is a compact 1230 by 850 mm, and the machine weighs 150 kg, so it fits into small workshops.
With the matching filling tool it tufts PP, PET, nylon and abrasive filaments as well as palmyra, coco and tampico natural fibres, with fibre lengths from 40 mm to 300 mm. Filling tools are available for hole diameters from 2.5 mm up to 7.5 mm.
Critical parts such as filling tool components, springs, belts and pneumatic pipes are included free of charge, along with five drivers as consumables. A Borghi technician installs and starts the machine and trains your operator. Standard warranty terms apply as stated in the offer.

Semi-automatic mop assembly for cotton and synthetic yarns.
OMEGA 15 is an easy-to-operate, semi-automatic machine for manufacturing mops of various sizes and shapes from cotton yarn or synthetic material fed from spool racks. The operator loads plastic or metal sockets and staples and enables the assembly cycle; the machine gathers the yarn, staples it into the socket, pulls the mop towards the unloading area, cuts it to the programmed length and ejects it. An optional 60-spool rack, slitting unit and conveyor turn it into a mop production line.
Mops are cut at the desired length and ejected automatically, reducing operator effort and speeding up every cycle.
Produces mops from 340 mm to 1200 mm long with sockets up to 200 mm wide to match market needs.
Handles cotton yarn, microfibre and non-woven strips, giving one machine the flexibility to serve several mop segments.
Yarn from up to 60 spools on the rack is drawn into the machine. The operator places a plastic or metal socket with staples into the assembly station and enables the cycle. The machine folds the yarn bundle through the socket and closes the staples, then pulls the assembled mop towards the unloading area until the programmed length is reached. A cutting unit trims the yarn and the finished mop is ejected while the next socket is loaded.
The optional rack holds up to 60 cotton spools, so yarn feeding continues without interruption during long production runs.
The optional BTP 800 cuts non-woven material spools into strips and feeds them directly to the machine.
Finished mops can be unloaded by conveyor belt and passed to a standalone FLOW packaging unit for a complete line.

Explore More →It assembles wet mops of various shapes from cotton yarn, synthetic yarn and microfibre, and non-woven strips when fitted with the slitting unit. Mop length is adjustable from 340 mm to 1200 mm and sockets up to 200 mm (8 inches) wide can be used.
Rated output is around 300 mops per hour at a 500 mm mop length. Actual output varies with mop length, yarn type and how quickly the operator loads sockets and staples; automatic cutting and ejection keep the cycle short between loads.
It is semi-automatic. The operator feeds sockets and staples and starts the cycle, while yarn feeding, stapling, pulling to length, cutting and ejection are performed by the machine. With the spool rack and conveyor options, one operator can run the machine with minimal effort.
The machine consumes only about 0.5 kW and needs compressed air of roughly 12.3 cfm at 5 bar. It measures 3200 by 1500 mm and weighs 750 kg; allow additional space beside the machine for the spool rack and the unloading or conveyor area.
Yes. It pairs with the optional BTP 800 slitting unit for non-woven strips, a conveyor belt for unloading and the standalone FLOW packaging unit. Many customers run OMEGA 15 alongside STAR tufting machines to supply both mops and brooms from one factory.
A Borghi India technician installs and starts up the machine at your site and trains your operator. Critical spares are supplied with the machine free of charge, standard warranty terms apply as per the offer, and local service is available across India for the life of the machine.

Quick to set up, easy to run, built for flexibility.
STAR GAMMA is a compact vertical tufting machine with one drill and one filling tool, designed for small productions and frequent model changes. The operator loads a virgin block, starts the cycle, then moves the drilled block to the filling station while a new block is drilled. Five axes of movement, optional double clamping and interchangeable carriages let it make flat brushes, round-head and double hockey toilet brushes and cylinder brushes at up to 450 tufts per minute.
Fast change-over speed makes it ideal for small batches and switching between brush designs several times a day.
Radial or upright filling for flat brushes, with cylinder and toilet brush carriages available as options.
X, Y, Z, circular and radial movements position every tuft precisely for consistent, professional-quality brushes.
STAR GAMMA separates drilling and filling into two stations. The operator places a virgin block in the drilling station and a drilled block in the filling station, then starts the cycle: the drill creates the hole pattern while the filling tool cuts filament from the fibre box, folds it around a staple or anchor and drives it into each hole. When the cycle ends, the filled brush is removed, the drilled block moves across, and a new block is loaded.
A compact 1300 kg machine drawing only 2.6 kW gives new entrepreneurs an affordable, professional start in brush making.
Industry 4.0 software controls hole position, depth and flare angle, so every brush matches the programmed design.
Holds two blocks at once to raise output further when production volumes grow beyond the initial start-up.

Yes. All Borghi tufting machines can make double hockey brushes. With the toilet brush carriage the STAR GAMMA produces round-head and double hockey toilet brushes, and using the anchor bar it can tuft thin-wall handles down to 6 mm thickness.
STAR GAMMA has one drill and one filling tool with operator-assisted loading, running up to 450 tufts per minute. STAR DELTA has three drills, two filling tools and six clamping stations for continuous operation up to 1000 tufts per minute, suited to higher volumes.
Power consumption is about 2.6 kW in production. Compressed air is needed at 6 bar with a consumption of roughly 300 normal litres per minute. The footprint is 1900 by 1900 mm; a minimum working area of around 1000 sq. ft. is recommended.
With the matching filling tool it processes PP, PET, nylon and abrasive filaments plus palmyra, coco and tampico natural fibres, from 40 mm to 300 mm fibre length. Filling tools are available for hole diameters between 2.2 mm and 7.5 mm, in staple-set or anchor-set versions.
Borghi does not manufacture moulds but provides trusted references for mould makers and helps develop unique handle designs. Filament and wire are stocked in small quantities for start-up, and after order placement Borghi shares its network of around 14 PP and PET filament manufacturers.

The flagship of vertical tufting: output, versatility, precision.
STAR DELTA is Borghi’s flagship vertical tufting machine, built for continuous, high-output production of brooms and brushes. Three drills and two filling tools work across six clamping stations, so drilling and filling run without pause. Five axes driven by brushless servomotors, together with a wide range of bridges, carriages and tooling, let one machine produce flat brushes, toilet brushes, double hockey brushes, cylinder, disc and tank brushes with fast change-over between models.
Continuous operation across six clamping stations delivers up to 1000 tufts per minute with minimal stops.
Many bridge and carriage setups are available, and switching from one brush model to another takes minutes.
Both tufting methods are supported, with mobile jaws available for a greater flare angle on the finished brush.
Virgin blocks are clamped on a six-station carousel. As one station is drilled by the three-spindle head, another is filled by the two filling tools, so no cycle waits for the next. Each block moves on five axes — X, Y, Z, circular U and radial V — driven by brushless servomotors. Filament is cut from the fibre box, folded around a staple or anchor and pushed into the hole, giving tight, uniform tufts at up to 1000 per minute.
Latest software with alarm features that show exactly where a fault has occurred, cutting diagnosis time.

Roughly 85% of household brushes can be made using three carriage types.
Using the specific filling tool for each material, the STAR DELTA tufts PP, PET, nylon and abrasive synthetic filaments as well as natural fibres such as palmyra, coco and tampico. Filling tools are available from 2.2 mm to 7.5 mm hole diameter to suit the fibre and brush design.
No previous brush-making experience is required. Borghi India trains your operator for five days at the Borghi factory and a further five days at your plant. A Borghi technician installs and starts up the machine, and the remote-assistance router allows ongoing support.
The machine runs at up to 1000 tufts per minute with continuous six-station operation. Real output depends on the number of tufts per brush, fibre length and change-overs, so a typical household broom with 100 to 150 holes gives several hundred pieces per hour.
The STAR DELTA draws about 5 kW in production and needs compressed air at 6 bar, around 170 normal litres per minute. The machine footprint is 3200 by 2700 mm; a working area of 1000 to 2000 sq. ft. is recommended for the machine, fibre and block storage.
Critical parts such as filling tool components, springs, belts and pneumatic pipes are supplied free of charge with the machine. Drills and drivers are consumables; five of each are included at no cost. Standard warranty terms apply as stated in the offer.
