Terms and Conditions
These terms cover subscriptions to Clean India Journal, the monthly printed trade magazine for the cleaning, hygiene, facility management, sanitation, waste, pest management, laundry and dry cleaning industries, published for more than twenty years. By subscribing through this website you accept these terms.
Two other pages form part of these terms: our Refund and Cancellation Policy and our Delivery and Shipping Policy. How we handle your personal information is covered by our Privacy Policy.
Who you are dealing with
Clean India Journal is published by Virtual Info Systems Pvt. Ltd., 13th Floor, Tanvi Complex, The Platina, 1011-1012, SV Road, Near HP Petrol Pump, Dahisar East, Mumbai 400 068.

What a subscription is
A subscription buys the printed magazine, delivered by courier. One copy is sent per subscription.
A subscription is counted in issues, not in calendar months. A one-year plan is 12 issues, a two-year plan is 24 issues and a three-year plan is 36 issues.
The digital edition and the article archive on this website are free to everyone. A subscription does not buy online access, because nothing on the website is kept back for subscribers.
Plans and prices
Every price below includes courier delivery within India. The plans are also set out on our Subscribe page.
- 1 Year, 12 issues: Rs 980 (magazine Rs 500, courier Rs 480). Paid on this website, the total charged is Rs 1,005.13, which includes an online payment charge of Rs 25.13.
- 2 Years, 24 issues: Rs 1,860 (magazine Rs 900, courier Rs 960). Paid on this website, the total charged is Rs 1,907.69, which includes an online payment charge of Rs 47.69.
- 3 Years, 36 issues: Rs 2,690 (magazine Rs 1,250, courier Rs 1,440). Paid on this website, the total charged is Rs 2,758.97, which includes an online payment charge of Rs 68.97.
The online payment charge
When you pay on this website, an online payment charge is added. It is shown as its own line, with the total, before you confirm the payment. The gateway works the charge out so that the plan price reaches us in full, so the charge is 2.5 per cent of the total charged, not 2.5 per cent added to the plan price. The payment page shows you the charge and the total before you confirm, and that total is the amount that will be debited.
No online payment charge applies to a subscription paid by cheque or demand draft.
How to pay
Payment on this website is taken through Razorpay, by card, UPI or netbanking.
You may also pay by cheque or demand draft by writing to marketing@cleanindiajournal.com. Draw it in favour of Virtual Info Systems Pvt. Ltd., payable at Mumbai. A subscription paid this way starts once the instrument is realised.
An invoice can be sent on request.
No automatic renewal
None of the three plans renews automatically. All three are one-off payments. There is no standing instruction and no recurring mandate on your card or bank account, so nothing will be taken from you again at the end of your term.
Your account on this website
An account is created for you at checkout, using the username and password you enter on the payment page. The account is not used to cancel a subscription. Cancellation is by email, as set out in our Refund and Cancellation Policy.
When your subscription starts
Your first copy goes out with the next monthly dispatch after your payment clears and your delivery address is confirmed. If that month’s copies have already gone out, your subscription starts with the following issue.
You may ask for your subscription to start from a particular issue by writing to marketing@cleanindiajournal.com.
Delivery
Copies are sent by courier to the address you give us. Through this website we deliver within India only. Full details are on our Delivery and Shipping Policy page.
Please give a complete and correct delivery address, with a landmark or a unit number where that helps the courier find you.
You will receive a confirmation by email once your payment goes through. Please keep it, as it carries the payment reference you will need if you ever write to us about the subscription.
Subscriptions outside India
The published overseas rate is USD 220 or GBP 170 for 12 issues. It cannot be paid on this website, because our payment gateway accepts Indian rupees only. To arrange an overseas subscription, write to marketing@cleanindiajournal.com.
A copy that is damaged or does not arrive
If a copy reaches you damaged, or if a copy does not reach you at all, tell us at marketing@cleanindiajournal.com within 30 days of the dispatch of that issue. We replace that copy free of charge, including courier. If the issue is no longer available, we extend your subscription by one issue instead.
Changing your address
Tell us about an address change as early as you can, at marketing@cleanindiajournal.com. A change applies to the next dispatch if it reaches us before that month’s copies go out. If it reaches us after that, it applies from the issue after.
Cancellation and refunds
You may cancel at any time by writing to marketing@cleanindiajournal.com. What you get back depends on whether copies have started going out. The rules, with a worked example, are on our Refund and Cancellation Policy page.
All refund and cancellation queries come to us, not to Razorpay.

The contents of Clean India Journal, in print and on this website, belong to Virtual Info Systems Pvt. Ltd. and may not be reproduced or redistributed without our written permission. Articles are published for the information of the trade and are not professional advice for any particular site or operation.
Changes to these terms
We may change these terms. The date below tells you when this page was last changed. A change never affects the price or the number of issues of a subscription already paid for.
Law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by Indian law, and the courts at Mumbai have jurisdiction.
