Delivery and Shipping Policy
This page explains how the printed Clean India Journal reaches you. It sits alongside our Terms and Conditions and our Refund and Cancellation Policy.
What we send
Clean India Journal is a monthly printed magazine. We send one printed copy per subscription for each issue of your term: 12 copies on the 1 Year plan, 24 on the 2 Years plan and 36 on the 3 Years plan. A subscription is counted in issues, not in calendar months.
Nothing is delivered electronically as part of a subscription. The digital edition and the article archive on this website are free to everyone.
Where we deliver
Through this website we deliver within India only.
The published overseas rate is USD 220 or GBP 170 for 12 issues. It cannot be paid on this website, because our payment gateway accepts Indian rupees only. To arrange an overseas subscription, write to marketing@cleanindiajournal.com.
What delivery costs
Courier delivery within India is included in every subscription price, and is shown as its own component on the Subscribe page: Rs 480 of the Rs 980 plan, Rs 960 of the Rs 1,860 plan and Rs 1,440 of the Rs 2,690 plan. No separate delivery charge is added.
When you pay on this website, an online payment charge is added to the plan price. It is shown as its own line, with the total, before you confirm the payment. The amounts are set out on our Terms and Conditions page.
When your subscription starts
Your first copy goes out with the next monthly dispatch after your payment clears and your delivery address is confirmed. If that month’s copies have already gone out, your subscription starts with the following issue.
You may ask for your subscription to start from a particular issue by writing to marketing@cleanindiajournal.com.
A subscription paid by cheque or demand draft starts once the instrument is realised, and then follows the same rule.
How copies go out
Copies of each issue are dispatched together, once a month, by courier, addressed to the name and address held on your subscription.
The address you give us
Please give a complete and correct delivery address, with a landmark or a unit number where that helps the courier find you.
Changing your address
Tell us about an address change as early as you can, at marketing@cleanindiajournal.com. A change applies to the next dispatch if it reaches us before that month’s copies go out. If it reaches us after that, it applies from the issue after.
Copies returned undelivered
If a copy comes back to us undelivered because the address was wrong or incomplete, we contact you and send that copy again once, at no charge to you.
If copies keep coming back and the address cannot be made to work, we contact you to agree what to do next.
A copy that is damaged or does not arrive
If a copy reaches you damaged, or if a copy does not reach you at all, tell us at marketing@cleanindiajournal.com within 30 days of the dispatch of that issue. We replace that copy free of charge, including courier. If the issue is no longer available, we extend your subscription by one issue instead.
Cancelling
You may cancel at any time by writing to marketing@cleanindiajournal.com. What is refunded is set out on our Refund and Cancellation Policy page.
