Kam-Avida, manufacturer of equipment to Liquid Waste Management, Solid Waste Management and Road Sweeping has recently supplied one truck mounted suction sweeping machine mounted on Eicher Terra 16 chassis to Lucknow Nagar Nigam for sweeping the VIP roads in the city. The machine is operated and maintained by a trained team of operators/technicians of Kam-Avida under a three year operation and maintenance contract. The Nigam is now considering to buy a few more machines of similar kind for the roads.
The sweeping machine has a provision of wet sweeping, which makes the operation completely dust free, less nuisance to traffic and saves the environment against pollution. The machine also has a provision of stainless steel container in which debris is collected. These features enable the user to collect even wet garbage/ sludge. The SS hopper will not rust in the long run and thus it enhances the life of machines.
The suction blower used in the machine is of superior quality and high capacity which enables it to suck the heavier particles like pet bottles, pebbles, stones and even half bricks. It is easy to operate because the control is located in the driver/operator cabin.
The bigger capacity of collection hopper i.e. 6.5 m3 and a water tank of 1300 ltrs help the operator to use the machine for long hours and reduce the unloading trips which saves a lot of time and fuel. The machine is also provided with hydraulic cylinders to help the operator to empty the hopper with comfort and ease.
The machine is suitable for night sweeping operation because it makes very low noise. It also has safety features to avoid accident making it safe and user friendly.
