A room can shine and still be unsafe

For too long, hospitals have judged cleanliness by sight alone. Three leading voices speaking to Clean India Journal say that era must end. It must be data, proof and clinical care.

All three argue the solution lies in scientific validation, not perception. Fluorescent markers to check coverage, ATP testing to measure organic residue, and targeted cultures to detect viable organisms can turn environmental hygiene into a measurable process. The economics are just as stark.

By avoiding prolonged ICU stays, expensive antibiotics, and in some cases, mortality, resources can be saved. Hand hygiene alone can deliver a 16-times ROI.

The question is no longer whether a room looks clean, it is whether a hospital can prove its cleaning protects patients.
