In a recent move, OCS India has further expanded its washroom hygiene business with the Cannon Hygiene India-Corporate Millennium Hygiene Solutions Pvt. Ltd merger
After Radiant and Absotherm, this is the third company joining the UK-based Total Facility Management service provider, OCS, in India. Speaking exclusively to Clean India Journal, Prashant Sule, MD-Cannon Hygiene said, “Cannon Hygiene, operating in India since 2000, along with 18-year-old Corporate Millennium, is now the single largest company in the washroom hygiene business in the organised sector.”
“In a country where hygiene is still on the back burner of priorities, it is our endeavour to create awareness and provide solution. With this merger, our presence has now extended to over 15 cities, including all the metro cities of India.”
Since its inception in 1997, CMHSPL has been providing housekeeping services and is among the oldest and largest business partners of Kimberly Clark Professional, servicing the “Away from Home” (AFH) or the corporate office building segments. Besides servicing in Mumbai and Bangalore, CMHSPL has entered into the Chennai market too. Following the merger, its presence will extend to pan-India level, as it will include cities where Cannon and OCS India have established their foothold.
Raising his concern on the recent hygiene & sanitation issues causing spread of Ebola and H1N1 viruses, Sule added, “With the largest pan India presence, we can be a very important tool in controlling H1N1, especially at work places, hospitals, airports, malls, railway stations, bus stations or any enclosed area registering large footfalls. We have developed powerful tools that are certified internationally and can stop Ebola like viruses. For example, we have Cannon-Capsule, a sanitizer that can control Ebola and swine flu,” said Sule.
