The Government may introduce new solar-powered trash cans that sound alert when full with garbage, under the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. These cans, designed by Big Belly based in the US, forms a part of the Smart City concept. If implemented successfully, the new trash cans will provide a sustainable solution to the open trash bins system, with a smart alert sound to the sanitation workers.
