Soma Specialities’ new facility

Soma Specialities Pvt. Ltd, the manufacturers of India’s largest selling CYCLON single disc scrubbers, has shifted in early June to its new production facility located on the outskirts of Mumbai on the Mumbai Nashik Highway. This move will boost the company’s production capacity manifold. The first phase of construction is complete and ready for production. After the construction of the second phase, total plant area will measure upto 20,000sq.ft. The management feels that this is the right step in the current economic scenario as quality Indian machines are being preferred over expensive & high on maintenance imported ones. This production facility will be equipped with the state-of-the-art production systems to increase production of its popular range of single disc scrubbers, auto scrubber dryers, automatic mopping machines and backpack vacuums. Most of the production will now be carried out in-house which will reduce the cost of production as well as improve quality. “As Soma Specialities has led the wave of innovation in manufacturing cleaning machines in India in a big way, R & D will also find a special place in this new facility to accelerate the development & production of new cleaning machines,” said Sameer Sabu, Director. With higher production capacity, the company intends to increase its sales in India and internationally as well, as exports of its single disc scrubbers is expected to increase.
