Established by the Brihan Mumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) in 1997, Advanced Locality Managements (ALMs) are citizen-driven groups designed to enhance the quality of life by working closely with the BMC on neighbourhood challenges. The revival of ALMs comes in response to this gap in civic engagement. With the revival of ALMs, residents are optimistic about restoring the collaborative spirit between citizens and the BMC, ensuring that local issues are promptly addressed.
The revival of ALMs marks a significant step towards rebuilding organized civic engagement in the area, helping to ensure that the challenges of urban life are effectively managed through collaboration between the community and local authorities.
