Biggest cleaning drive of the year

This year, the post Pongala festival clean up drive was a challenging task to Thiruvananthapuram City Corporation. The festival was spread across 22 corporation wards, and the1,000-strong Corporation cleaning team including 300 women (45 vehicles!) had to deal with tonnes of burnt firewood, plastic and paper wastes. The corporation needed 45 vehicles to remove the wastes.
