Single-Disc Machine BDS 43/Orbital C

Roto-orbital single-disc machine for deep scrubbing, polishing, crystallisation and decoating

The BDS 43/Orbital C merges orbital and rotary movement into one constant vibration, so a single machine covers deep scrubbing, polishing, crystallisation and decoating instead of needing a separate set-up for each. Its 430 mm working width and 100 mm working height let it reach into narrow corridors and furnished rooms, which makes it a fit for offices, retail floors, hospitals and schools, as well as production sites, hotels and canteens.

Key features

Roto-orbital scrubbing action

1,500 oscillations per minute combined with disc rotation deliver strong scrubbing results on every floor type, cutting cleaning time by up to 50% against conventional single-disc work.

Reverse handle mode

Flipping the handle lifts pad pressure from 38 kg to 55 kg for heavily soiled floors, and lets the operator work under furniture and into confined spaces the machine could not otherwise reach.

90° tilting head

The head tips a full 90° so pads come off and go on in seconds, with fewer wet pads laid on the floor between changes and less downtime on a multi-room cleaning round.

about the BDS 43/Orbital C

A conventional machine spins the pad in one direction. The BDS 43/Orbital C adds an orbital oscillation to that rotation, so the pad vibrates at 1,500 oscillations per minute while it turns at 60 rpm.

That combined movement scrubs mechanically rather than waiting on chemical dwell time, which is why the same machine handles deep scrubbing, polishing, crystallisation and decoating.

In its standard position the machine applies 38 kg of brush contact pressure, which suits routine maintenance cleaning and polishing.

Reversing the handle raises that to 55 kg. Use it for heavily soiled floors, for decoating, and for reaching under furniture and into confined spaces where the standard handle position will not fit.

The roto-orbital action delivers strong results on all hard floor types. The 430 mm working width and 100 mm working height are sized for narrow and furnished areas rather than open halls.

It is aimed primarily at building cleaning in offices, retail, hospitals and schools, and also works well in production sites, hotels and canteens.

Sound pressure is rated at 54 dB(A), which is low enough for daytime work in corridors, wards and retail floors where a louder machine would have to be scheduled outside opening hours.

Quiet running is also part of why the machine is described as easy to handle over a full shift.

The head tilts a full 90°, so the pad is exposed and swapped in seconds without lifting the machine or laying it down.

That also means fewer wet pads resting on a finished floor between rooms, which matters on a multi-area cleaning round.

The standard scope of supply is a 12 litre fresh water tank and a pad drive board. The machine runs on 220–240 V, 50 Hz mains and weighs 52.1 kg with accessories.

A spray variant, the BDS 43/Orbital C Spray, is also available if spray-method cleaning is preferred.
