‘Clean Ganga’ website launched

Promising to fulfil the ‘Clean Ganga’ mission within three years, the Union Minister of Water Resource, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation, Uma Bharti recently launched a new website http://nmcg.nic.in, to keep the public updated about the ‘clean Ganga’ developments. On the occasion, Uma Bharti said that a website is an important tool to connect with the people and this would help people come forward to give their suggestions in order to rejuvenate the holy river of Ganga within the shortest possible time.

The bilingual website contains a wide range of information on clean Ganga mission that includes Ganga Manthan, Namami Gange, conservation of pollution project, status of NGRBA, Ganga action plan, water quality monitoring, Industrial pollution monitoring, waste water management and comprehensive details of Ganga basin. It has also got a provision to receive feedback from the public where suggestions can be given about the Ganga Rejuvenation plan.
