Clean India Journal at Interclean

Clean India Journal was back at the Interclean 2024 from May 14 to 17 at RAI Amsterdam. The four-day exhibition saw an international crowd of 875 exhibitors and 30,000 visitors from 143 countries. It gave the Clean India team a good opportunity to network & interact with the international cleaning industry and capture the new trends and innovations.

The newness in the exhibition was felt right from the way the products were displayed, the stalls were designed, AI-enabled demos were being conducted, robotic machines were running around to the entire ambience of the exhibition which was vibrant and engaging. And, the new look and logo of Interclean added to the uniqueness of the exhibition.

The Clean India Journal booth, as always, was a meeting point for visitors coming in from India and other countries who were looking at India to expand their business. We had fruitful discussions with prospective cleaning product manufacturers from Europe, the USA, the Middle East and others. This affirmed the growing trend of India being the next biggest market for the global cleaning industry. With the strengthening of the ancillary and affiliated industries, India is fast growing into a manufacturing hub for the global cleaning manufacturers.

Giving recognition to the unique and innovative products the Amsterdam Innovation Awards were given away on the first day of the exhibition. The top prize for 2024 was awarded to Diversey – A Solenis Company for its LESSEAU NO-Touch Bar Soap Dispenser & Refills.

The category winners were: Kärcher for its KIRA CV 50 (Smart Technologies & Digitalisation), Baudoin Wash-Systems for its Baudoin Wash Drone (Workforce & Ergonomics), Diversey – A Solenis Company, for its LESSEAU NO-Touch Bar Soap Dispenser & Refills (Sustainability & Environment) and Hagleitner Global Hygiene for its XIBU 2WIPE hybrid (Hygiene & Health).

New this year was the Cleaners’ Choice Award, which went to Baudoin Wash-Systems for its Baudoin Wash Drone.

The Visitors’ Choice Award, voted for by fellow professionals and industry partners, was won by Kärcher for its KIRA CV 50.

Other nominees in this category were Nexaro NR 1500 (Nexaro) and ADLATUS SR1300 Autonomous Vacuum Sweeping Robot (ADLATUS Robotics).

Workforce & Ergonomics Category winner: Baudoin Wash Drone (Baudoin Wash-Systems). According to the jury, Baudoin has developed its Wash Drone using latest smart technology for use on difficult-to-access buildings. Buildings which are often almost impossible to clean, which require specialist and expensive access equipment, or demand that personnel work at height. It cleans at high pressure using pure water technology and is easily controlled from the ground.

Other nominees in this category: UNGER VisaVersa® Pro 2-in-1 window squeegee (Unger Germany) and Scrubmaster B5 430 ORB (Hako)

Hygiene & Health Category winner was XIBU 2WIPE hybrid (Hagleitner Global Hygiene). According to the jury, the traditional method of dispensing disinfectant wipes – from plastic flowpacks – is not ideal because the wipes start to dry out as soon as the pack is opened, resulting in much waste. Hagleitner has tackled this by developing a smart, sensor-driven mobile dispenser featuring a patented sealing system. Each wipe remains moist, and it never needs to be empty.

Other nominees in this category: Kimberly-Clark Professional ICON (Kimberly-Clark Professional) and i-clean handle (i-team Global)
