The city unit of the Dry Cleaners and Launderers Association of India organised a meeting to suggest solutions to issues faced by the industry. One of the top issues, use of plastic bags, was addressed and alternatives suggested.
Zehen Arora, Director, Stefab India, demonstrated the features of some of his Made in India machines as an efficient alternative to imported machines. He also offered turnkey solutions to many small laundry owners on how to make a unit profitable with efficient usage of resources.
Discussions on representations made by the DLAI to concerned authorities pertaining to reduction of GST rates for the industry were also shared.
DLAI also announced its first Annual Convention for February 12 and Awards on February 13, 2020 at a gala dinner. This is the first, following its launch during the Laundrex India Expo on February 13, 2019, at Bangalore.
